A British mother killed her boyfriendand their 4-year-old daughter to “prevent the world being taken over by vampires,” prosecutors told the court during the woman’s trial.
Prosecutors say 36-year-old Shelley Christopher stabbed 42-year-old Richard Brown 29 times and then stabbed her 4-year-old daughter, Sophia, six times just days after visiting a mental health unit.
Christopher was found not guilty by reason of insanity on two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
Christopher also attacked another child but the girl, who was not identified, survived.
