Recall that in August, Nigeria’s secret police announced the arrest of 19 suspected terrorists in Lagos, Enugu, Plateau, Kano and Gombe States.
They were described as commanders and frontline members of the sect who had played key roles in Boko Haram’s bloody campaign in the Northeast.
One of the suspects, Usman Shuaibu (alias Money), claimed to have co-ordinated the attacks with N500, 000 which was provided by his Amir, Isa Ali.
The DSS in a statement, said: “Shuaibu claimed that the said Isa Ai has links to the leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, from where he collects monies to fund operations undertaken by their Markaz.
“Also, he revealed that he has participated in several Boko Haram attacks, including the attacks at Gwoza Divisional police Station in 2014”.
He was also alleged to have admitted being the leader of a nine man Boko haram cell dispatched from Sambisa forest to carry out the attacks.

NEWS: Boko Haram Seizes Town On Cameroon Border
Following a battle between Boko Haram militants and soldiers in Cameroon on Friday, October 23, the insurgents have seized control of a town in the far north of the country which lies on the border with Nigeria.

A security source who spoke to AFP on condition of anonymity said the Nigerian Islamist group now control Kerawa.
Boko Haram militants battled with soldiers in neighboring Cameroon after raiding a village in a remote border region.
According to Reuters, the insurgents attacked Kerawa in Cameroon’s far north zone on Thursday, October 22, leaving at least 12 people dead, the same day they carried out a similar raid nearby and a suicide bombing in neighbouring Chad.
Colonel Badjeck, the army’s spokesman said:“We are inflicting an extremely heavy death toll on Boko Haram’s side. I forcefully insist that Kerawa is not in Boko Haram’s hands.”
The United Nations refugee agency last week said Boko Haram militants have made the swamp lands of Lake Chad, where the borders of Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria meet, into a war zone.
Boko Haram has waged a six-year campaign for an Islamist state in northeast Nigeria. After neighbouring countries joined the war against the insurgents last year, the conflict has spilled across their borders, displacing tens of thousands of people.
Boko Haram used Cameroon’s impoverished far north to stockpile supplies and recruits until the government cracked down on the group last year.
Meanwhile about 45 suspected Boko Haram fighters have been arrested in Lagosfollowing intelligence reports that they were planning to bomb an affluent neighbourhood, Dolphin Estate, in the Ikoyi area of the state.
The suspects were apprehended by operatives of the Directorate of Security Service (DSS) and have been charged to court.
